I'm heartbroken today. A few weeks back I got into an argument about politics, which got heated and culminated in me saying, "so what you're saying is, me and all the other foreigners should just the fuck up?" To which my friend said "yes." I did what seemed like a reasonable reaction, I left. What else to do when I'm supposed to shut the fuck up? I thought they would realize the violence of their words. But it seems unlikely. Unfortunate the way our world is changing.
